Why do we need to dissect ourselves? I also realised that when I described myself, I forgot to include anything to do with my career. I never wanted a career. I just wanted to experience life. I wanted to flit from one to another. Will this project give me clarity?
Positionality:
Who I am affect my research. Who I am will affect how I see my project.
The power of language and communication.
Bias: Prejudice against a group.
Ethnic cleansing.
Social constructions.
How academic language is biased too.
Why is it that only the negative connotation is used and nulled? Could I dip into language in my project? Sinhala (spoken only in Sri Lanka) is a dying language. Sri Lanka, with three main languages (Sinhala, Tamil, and English) Could I incorporate Sinhala into this?
The power of language or the language of power?
Society takes something from a little corner - one small incident - and change it into a main stream idea (new age spirituality, glamping, pink movement).
