'The Greatest Country in the World'

To summarise current Sri Lanka:
Translation of Sinhala words: Yes, this is the greatest country, but half the people in the world don't even know we exist.
Uthum: Greatest.
There is a certain patriotism within Sri Lanka that I never shared. I wasn't very patriotic. I was proud of the sights of my country, but the people... the government? I wasn't very proud to be a part of this. Yet, even today, I would say it's one of the most beautiful countries. It's also convenient beautiful. Being a small island, the mountains, the jungles, the waterfalls, the cities, the wildlife, and the beaches are just a few hours from each other. It's a bit chilly in the middle of the country, and quite hot around the edges.
So yes, being born in this country has a certain appeal, but as this video highlights, there are a lot more aspects that puts us at the low end of the list of reasons to be patriotic.
